There are quite a few highly precise and effective cutting technologies available, most of which are based on computer numerical control (CNC). A CNC router, laser, plasma, or waterjet cutting machine can cut or engrave a design on a sheet of material (wood, soft metals, etc.).

Due to the many benefits of CNC machining – including cutting with accuracy, a quick turnaround time, and reduced labor cost – it’s widely used by industries for prototyping and customizing products.
